THE ROYAL Playa del Carmen Receives a Prestigious Environmental Award from CORAL for Reef Preservation

Riviera Maya, MX – In a ceremony organized by the International Conservation Association, CORAL, THE ROYAL Playa del Carmen received a prestigious Environmental Award for helping to conserve the natural reef that lies underwater along the resort’s beach. The award was presented by CORAL, The Reef Alliance and the Association of Riviera Maya Hotels.  The reef is home to wildlife and natural coral and is protected under Mexico’s strict ecological standards.  In addition, the beach and waters abutting THE ROYAL in Playa del Carmen are a natural habitat for sea turtles which recently had their successful egg hatching and migration to the sea.
